Ever since I lost my son…I think of you as my own.
Because I am having so many Zuko feels since his older version was released. I can’t even. I just. Just can’t *_*
So I had to draw some Iroh-Zuko, since it’s one of my all time favourite relationships ever. And I know, Iroh is so so so proud<3
And I kind of have this headcanon in which Zuko and Iroh haven’t seen each other in a while, considering Zuko is busy with his Fire Lord duties, and Iroh is far away in the Earth Kingdom..I bet Zuko came for some calming jasmine tea.<3
-sobs in corner-
It’s so beautiful. Iroh and Zuko’s relationship is on of the best in the Avatar Universe.

Anybody what to question me while I wait around for a plane in the early hours of the day. I’ll have my computer, so I’ll be writing if I can, and there is free wifi at the airport so, I’ll be on Tumblr.
I’m accepting small fic requests and questions.
So any one what to submit small fic requests to my ask? Or questions? It’s always open. So will you leave something for me?
ALL THE FEELS!!!
Excuse me while I cry my eyes out!
Honestly, I could see Toph really worrying about something like this with Lin. For more reasons that one. Toph’s blindness isn’t exactly as much a disability for her, she doesn’t need her eyes to see. However, I think, she really hates missing out of the actually sights of things. She doesn’t know fireworks, their just bangs to her, she can’t see shooting stares, and colors are unknown to her. Her whole life she’s probably heard descriptions and sounds, but she’s never seen any of it. I don’t think she minds to much, but she clearly gets annoyed when people in away forget she’s blind.
Also, if Lin had been a non-bender and blind, that would kill Toph. I mean, she’s blind, but she sees with her bending. If Lin was born with out any bending and she was blind she would be “helpless.” Toph is rough and tough because her parents sheltered and babied her when they didn’t have to. However, the idea would scare Toph, because she would actually have to do everything her parents did because Lin actually needed it, because Lin really couldn’t defend herself or see in a way that Toph does. If Lin had been born the way she was execpt for the fact that she was blind, I don’t think Toph would make a huge deal about it.
And the Tokka in this picture. Let me just roll over and die. I don’t think Sokka is Lin’s father, for obvious reasons, even if it was kept secret, I think Aang, Katara, and Zuko would have found out some how. I do, however, think that Sokka always cared for Toph and ended up with her at an older age. I could see him loving Lin in a way a father would, and being extremely supportive and positive about Toph’s pregnancy, always shooing away her worries. Not to say Aang and Katara weren’t doing the same thing, but Sokka’s words were just the ones that stuck.
Okay enough talking! I feel A fanfic coming on.
I’m bored out of my mind and I’m in the mood to be typing and writing and all that snazzy stuff. So I’m taking the first three prompt ideas to hit my ask box. I’m only taking three right now because my brain sores and i can never write anything short.
So anyone interested? Send me an idea and I’ll write it.
Does this sound even vaguely familiar? If it does, congratulations, you’ve been paying attention.
The Equalists have a very legitimate point. Benders call the shots. I know we’re only two episodes in, but have we seen any powerful authority figure yet in this world that isn’t a bender? When a bender and a nonbender come to blows, unless the nonbender is one hell of a talented martial artist, the bender is going to come out on top.
Benders are born into privilege.
In a way, I think the creators lightly touched on this subject with Sokka in Sokka’s Master, and a few earlier episodes. Sokka was surrounded by benders through out the whole series, but it the team in a way teased him (mostly Toph) for that. In The Chase Toph clearly doesn’t count Sokka as a person, but it’s in a way a similar reason that Sokka would most likely lose to a bender.
However is Sokka’s Master the creators addressed the problem a bit more head on. Sokka knows his not fabulous and he can’t stop fires in the amazing way his friends and sister can. Of course, Katara comforts him and everyone knows Sokka is special in his own way. However Aang points out that Sokka is “the meat and sarcasm guy” not really giving any skills (in a way that he is trying to cheer Sokka up).
Zuko even fought without bending for a while in Zuko Alone, however, in the end he rarely seemed to fight like that, that fire came out. Still he gave the earth soldier “thugs” a good beating even without his bending. That was until he took on the earthbending on.
Avatar as always been about the bending and natural world, but there were many strong non-benders as well. Ty Lee blocked peoples chi and stopped them from bending, Suki was a strong warrior, Ursa didn’t seem afraid to do anything for her son, Kya as well. Non-benders had important roles and so did benders. In ATLA, the show wasn’t really about benders and non-benders, and when they sort of touched the issue it wasn’t the same as with Korra.
In The Legend of Korra, there are slightly more non-benders being suppressed. I don’t think benders have “privileges,” but rather they abused their rights. The metalbending cops aren’t favoring anyone, bender or non-bender. However, the gangs are a clear sing that benders have miss used their gifts against the non-benders. There are probably more homeless non-benders than actual benders (do to probending) however, I think many of the benders in the gangs were on the streets and power and in a way oppressed.
My headcannon for bending is it’s a gift from the spirits, and doesn’t matter who the parents are. Katara was the only waterbender in her family and for a clear reason, seeing as how she was the one to free Aang from his iceberg. Toph, though blind, is an earthbender to most likely teach Aang and invent metalbending. But there was also something else I noticed. The Fire Nation royal family seems to only have firebending offspring and Fire Lords. In think in high positions, non-bending is frowned upon. But it raises the question of who the Earth King, not once did he earthbend.
I really look forward to seeing how the issue is dealt with.

Day 30: Overall Great times
When I think of Avatar: the Last Airbender, I think of the amazing show that, if anything shaped me into what I am today. Without Avatar I would not listen to the music I do, or probably write or draw as well as I do. Of course, I have moved on to other shows, Avatar was the start of it all. I don’t know what I would be if it wasn’t for Avatar, and I always thank Mike and Bryan when I sit back and think of their wonderful show, for it has done so much for me.
ATLA was something my family would huddle around the TV. We would watch it over pizza or snuggle into the couch. It was from the first episode too. Though I have no idea why in the world was wanted to watch it, but we’ve watched it all the way through. Avatar had done that for a lot of families, and that’s why it was such an amazing series. If there is one thing ATLA could say, was it was a family show, and not just because it was for all ages, but because families literally watched it. It was mainly targeting children between 11-15 for the most part, but everyone loved it. The story had a plot as well and everyone was aching to know what was going to happen, and the characters were just loveable. There are hardly any shows today that I can think of that are cartoons and have an amazing storyline like Avatar.
I’ll always remember fangirling over everything and wanting every piece of merchandise I could get my hands on. I remember walking up before school and reading fanfics and looking at art. I remember finding out about Korra and practically screaming because there was going to be more. I wasn’t surprised when the fandom picked up the bits of information and ran with it and still do. Avatar was the best thing that would ever have happened to me, and I’m so blessed by the fact I discovered it when I did.
Of course, I’m the only one in family who freaks out as such about news of the Avatar related world, and I hope Korra is everything Avatar was for me. I’m in college now, all grown up, but I’m looking forward to huddling on the couch and watching Korra with my family.

Day 29: Episodes that you can watch over and over again.
The Waterbending Master is one of my all times faves. I probably love it because Katara stands up for herself. She was always sort of the girl character and didn’t really have a very strong role aside form the comfort and she was clearly done with having that. Waterbending is freaking important to her, she was going to learn no matter what. Also I wonder if Pakku was slightly more harsh towards her because she was from the Southern Water Tribe. It could be that he knew women were more independent there, and I don’t know if Kana said she was running away there or not, but I think Katara was a painful reminder for him. Honestly it would be easier to teach Katara waterbending so she could travel with Aang and she was more likely to pick it up faster anyway seeing as how it was her natural element . I don’t know I just really love this episode.
Day 28: Episodes that makes you cry
I’ve never actually cried in an Avatar episode, but going back and seeing as I am more emotional, I think I would cry more in Crossroads of Destiny. However its mostly at the end. Aang gives up Katara, which there is obviously another way. When Azula shots Aang, and Katara races to catch him. Zuko betraying Iroh and Iroh completely surrendering himself so Katara could get away and refusing to look at Zuko. Zuko’s always struggled with his destiny, and I think he felt bad with what happened to because he was actually happy in Ba Sing Se then anywhere else.

Day 27: Episodes that makes you laugh
Bitter Work by far I think makes me laugh the most. I blame Sokka mostly…and Foo-Foo-Cuddlypoops being adorable together. That and Iroh’s random funny comments. Toph was great too. I love her, and the episode moved along nicely.
